As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a sucker for stripes. In fact, the one décor item we’ve pulled together so far is navy and white striped table runners made out of the fabric below. I’m sure stripe patterns will play a part in other ways as the whole look and feel comes together, but for now I’m just gathering inspiration.

Of course, this wedding, shot by Erin Hearts Court, was right up my alley.

And I scanned these images a few months ago from Elegant Bride. I love the stripes juxtaposed with the bold, large scale floral.

I think the table cloth fabric used in this wedding is the exact same fabric we’re using for our runners. I love how it looks as a larger swatch. It’s fun to see it actually used in the context of an event, especially one that is a totally different style than mine will be.

I probably wouldn’t wear of either of these pieces by Ouma in real life, but someone definitely should. They’re super fun.

Stripes. They really are the ultimate in designer-y sophistication! Do you think you will use that cool green/hints of yellow (from your invites)? It looked great with the navy/white combination … I’m designing for a wedding at the moment with very similar colours and it’s such a fun colour scheme! Whatever you do, it’s bound to be awesome, half the fun is gathering inspiration.
I just clicked over from The Inspired Bride and I’m so glad I did– I love it here! Your printable Valentine is fantastic. I would love to link to it if you didn’t mind.
@ Rachel Oh wow, thanks! Of course you can link to it!
@ Lyndsay We’re definitely doing bright colors juxtaposed with the stripes, but we haven’t exactly worked out the details of where they’re going to come in. I have a hard time sticking to just one or two colors, so I’m using the navy and white to tie everything together, and then hopefully the other colors will be a little less structured. But definitely bright!
