I’ve begun mov­ing into the phase of plan­ning where we’re try­ing to fig­ure out décor and we’re start­ing to design the paper goods (the fun stuff — woohoo!). And as I look through the inspi­ra­tion images I’ve gath­ered, I’ve real­ized that a huge influ­ence is the Kate Spade brand. I always knew I really admired the brand (unfor­tu­nately I can’t afford the clothes), but it didn’t click the the look and feel I was going for leaned so far in that direc­tion until recently. While I don’t want to copy it by any means, the brand’s sen­si­bil­i­ties are so much in line with both my per­sonal style and our imag­ined wed­ding style that I can’t ignore it. The type, color and pat­terns all come together in a look that’s both mod­ern and sophis­ti­cated, yet col­or­ful and whim­si­cal. And per­fectly fun.
