Cupcake Stop!

Picking out our cupcake vendor wasn’t on my last 6 month checklist, because we made the decision a little while ago. But of course I forgot to mention it! There are tons of cupcake bakeries in the city, and I of course (unfortunately) haven’t gotten to try them all. Cupcake Stop, “NYC’s first mobile gourmet cupcake shoppe”, is part of the current food truck trend. And their cupcakes are delicious. They have a huge menu (as you can see below) and are constantly introducing new, creative flavors that come in both regular and mini sizes (we’re doing minis). We get to pick five flavors, which I’m sure will be a ridiculously difficult decision.

And if you hire them for an event, you actually have the option of the truck hanging out outside so that your guests can go up and order for themselves, which I think would add to the fun of the experience. It doesn’t make a ton of sense for us and our venue, so we’re just having them deliver a whole bunch of minis, but if you’re looking for a unique dessert option in the city I would definitely consider it.

The cupcake stand or stands is going to be one of our DIY projects, so one of the next things on my to do list to gather some inspiration for that, which you will be seeing soon.
