I realize I have not been doing so great with my “Post once a day” 2010 goal this week. Unfortunately, getting my 2009 tax paperwork is what’s keeping me busy, rather than anything fun. But I’m hoping to try and make up for that in the next two days.

Anyway…I just luckily happened to catch this amazing example of string art via The Served the other day, a typographic sign created by Kyle Read. It looks like it was intended for some sort of invitation or save the date, but it would also be amazing to have a sign like this welcoming your guests. I personally don’t have the patience for it, but I’m sure anyone could create something similar with the right amount of practice (and patience).

Oh dear — whilst my heart is leaping at how freaking awesome this is, my brain is saying… no, just no… Don’t even try!

You’re right, this would be the absolute coolest welcome sign.
