As if I don’t have enough on my plate (includ­ing a never-ending to do list), I’ve decided to start this sec­ond blog ded­i­cated to my wed­ding plan­ning jour­ney. I’m not sure where it will go, how often I’ll post, or what I will get out of it. But hope­fully in the end it will be a place where I can keep myself orga­nized, cat­a­log ideas and record every­thing I’m going through in the process.

So, why “head vs. heart”? I actu­ally bought the url sev­eral years ago when I was brain­storm­ing blog and web­site names. It came from the Death Cab song, Crooked Teeth (I’m a war of head ver­sus heart / And it’s always this way / My head is weak, my heart always speaks / Before I know what it will say.) The words just sort of rang true with me and when I decided to start this blog it seemed like a per­fect fit. From what I can tell so far, the plan­ning process seems like it will be a series of head vs. heart deci­sions — what I truly love vs. what we can truly afford.

I’m excited, anx­ious and a bit over­whelmed. I can’t wait to see where we end up.
