Today’s invitation comes to you by the lovely Peggy of bluepoolroad. I have been admiring this clean and elegant design on her site for quite awhile. The bold typography, the gorgeous italics, the pink and black color scheme — it’s a perfect example of less is more. So I was psyched when Peggy was nice enough to send over some larger images.

I was also curious to know a bit more about the background behind the design, and her process in general. So without further ado, I give you some insight in Peggy’s own words, because I couldn’t have said it better myself!
“My one motto before I started designing the wedding suites: if I can’t bare to use any of these as my own wedding invitation, then I won’t put it out there!
I’m a minimalist at heart, so when it came to brainstorming and sketching out the collection, I knew I wanted to pair beautiful (and sometimes bold!) typography with splash of colors. With my design background being in branding, packaging, and editorial design, I really wanted to bring in the not-so-traditional look and feel to the wedding suites. I love a beautiful script as much as the next girl, but the challenge was to keep it clean and modern. I don’t believe all wedding invitations should perfectly align in the center either. I love how some of the designs are flushed left — it just gives them this ‘instant modern facelift’.”
Thank so much for sharing Peggy!
