Another installment of my favorite images from the past week. (As usual, click on the image to get to the original source.)

I saw these invitations on Beast Pieces awhile ago, but was reminded of them again via eight hour day just recently. I never got to post about them back then, but upon seeing them again I got just as excited as I had the first time — I love the simple yet elegant color palette and all of the playful details. So I figured re-sharing couldn’t hurt.

I’m loving these beautifully hand-lettered invitations by Ryan Feerer. More to be seen in his Flickr stream.

Though I haven’t ventured into purchasing clothing via etsy, I have purchased baked goods and other edible items. There are so many delicious homemade treats to be found, and that especially goes for holidays such as Valentine’s Day. Here are a few treats that I think look especially delicious, and would make great gifts for kids, friends or significant others.

Clockwise from top left: 1. Pretty In Pink Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Marshmallows, 2. Smaller Double Heart Chocolate Lollipop, 3. Valentines Day Candy Popcorn, 4. My Pinkalicious Valentine — Italian Venetian Tri-Color Cookies, 5. Valentine Day Cake Pops, 6. Heart Shaped Smores.

Clockwise from top left: 1. A Little Box of Valentine’s Day Cookies, 2. Bright Colored Edible Heart within a Heart, 3. Hug and Kiss Cookie Collection 4. Red Velvet Chocolate Dipped Cookie Nibbles, 5. Raspberry Hand-Cut Gumdrops, 6. Sweet and Sassy-White Belgian Chocolate-Cinnamon Imperials.
How adorable is this colorful paper heart garland from Upon a Fold? Love!

Clockwise from top left: 1. Bride photo from Wedding Chicks, 2. Groomsman photo by Punam Bean, 3. Paper chandeliers from Martha Stewart Weddings, 4. Table décor from The Sweetest Occassion, 5. Invitations by Hammerpress, 6. Goodie bags from Style Me Pretty, 7. Boutonnière from The Inspired Bride, 8. Pattern by Joe Kievitt, 9. Centerpiece from Style Me Pretty, 10. Cookies from Amy Atlas, 11. Cake from Style Me Pretty.
These liquor cakes by Immaculate Confections would make for quite the boozy — and fun — cake buffet. I’m loving the various architectural shapes of each one — there’s no doubt they’d make a statement. And if you aren’t the drinking type not to worry, Immaculate Confections offers various cheesecakes, tarts and other desserts that look just as delicious.

As promised, Part 2 of Andy and Liz’s wedding takes us to the event itself, which was held at the Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge outside of Chicago. All of their photography, which is gorgeous by the way, was taken by Dustin Miller, who shoots only film. And it’s pretty clear through these images that everyone was truly full of joy and love the whole day.

Beautiful couple; beautiful wedding. Congrats Andy and Liz!!
Good morning everyone! I don’t feature real weddings too often (though I’d love to more — send them my way!); so I am SO excited to share the wedding of Andy and Liz with you today!
Let’s get started with the invitations. These beautiful images were shared with me by the groom, Andy Luce, who I’ve featured in the past on design work life, and is responsible for all the design you see here. I’ve always loved the vibrant combination of red and turquoise; so add a typographic-based approach to that and I’m hooked.

I love how well the invitation design was carried through to the website to create a coherent and consistent visual experience for the guests.

Stay tuned to see more gorgeousness from the event itself!
